UPCYCLED TRADITIONAL CHINESE LETTERBOXES

 

These are a family favourite and can also be found in Bookazine! We use traditional Hong Kong designs on fabric to give the classic Chinese metal letterboxes a new life. Designed by hand and intended as decorative pieces, they aim to seamlessly bring the charm of the outdoors into your home.

The story behind the box: These creations came about by lucky accident. One windy day, Sue went to check her mail and couldn't find her letterbox. Assuming it had been stolen, she decided to get another traditional letterbox and dress it with the patterned paper she had lying around at home. Sue's delightful creation attracted so much attention that she decided to upcycle them for others. The next day, the postman returned her old battered box he'd found on the other side of the village. You've got to love Hong Kong!
